Millbrook Resort is a luxury five-star accommodation and golf resort located in Arrowtown, New Zealand. The resort is set on 650 acres of lush fairways, rolling hills and gentle streams. They have a team of 311 employees spread across 22 departments such as food and beverage, property management, and health and fitness.
Millbrook Resort’s previous method of managing their workforce relied on paper timesheets, which caused significant challenges for all involved. The processing of these timesheets was a time-consuming and inefficient process, leading to a considerable workload for the team and frustration amongst employees.
In response to the challenges faced in its workforce management operations and to deliver on their commitment to reduce paper usage, the resort decided to leverage the cloud solution — Ready Workforce by Zambion, to streamline its processes.
Having implemented the solution for over a year now, the resort has experienced remarkable benefits that included:
- Eliminated the need for paper timesheets, reducing the potential for errors and making it much easier for the team to manage employee data.
- The switch from paper timesheets and manual payroll processing significantly reduced the amount of time spent processing timesheets and payroll from 3 days to 1.5 days, freeing up more time for other tasks.
- Ready Workforce’s self-service employee app allowed the staff with handy access to their rosters and annual leave balance, allowing them to keep track of their schedules and take ownership of their leave management. This eliminated the need for staff to continually check with the People and Culture Team for leave balances and to log in to their computer to email roster change requests.
